Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in data governance processes, including data dictionary management, data discovery, and compliance with KVKK and GDPR regulations.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring data assets are properly managed, protected, and utilized in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
Manage and maintain metadata repositories, data catalogs, and data dictionaries.
Perform data discovery and classification activities to identify sensitive data and ensure proper handling.
Ensure organizational compliance with data privacy regulations such as KVKK and GDPR.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.
Support data quality initiatives and risk management related to data usage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience with data governance tools and platforms.
Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with data discovery tools such as OpenText Structured Data Manager (SDM) or similar solutions is a plus.
Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (KVKK, GDPR).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
