About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on MySQL Administrator to join our infrastructure or platform team. This is a purely operational role, ideal for someone with strong experience in managing MySQL environments at scale. If you're passionate about keeping databases running smoothly and securely—without diving into application-side concerns—this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Provision, configure, and maintain MySQL databases
- Manage and monitor replication setups
- Ensure reliable backup and recovery processes
- Perform MySQL version upgrades with minimal impact
- Contribute to process documentation and operational readiness
What We’re Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience with MySQL in production environments
- Solid understanding of replication, backups, and upgrade strategies
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., shell scripting, Ansible) is a plus
- No need for application-side skills like schema design or query tuning
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in an operational DBA role
- Experience with Percona, Galera, or cloud-based MySQL services is a plus
- Comfort with Linux-based systems and monitoring tools
