Pattern Checking Team Leader at SHEIN, will play a key role in managing and guiding our quality assurance team to ensure all patterns meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and accuracy. The role is focused on overseeing daily team operations, coordinating the workflow, ensuring adherence to company standards, and maintaining consistent communication between the pattern checking team and other departments. While the title reflects leadership and oversight responsibilities, this position is hands-on and emphasizes team collaboration rather than higher-level managerial duties.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience and technical expertise in garment patterns, pattern-making software, and quality control processes, along with excellent leadership and communication skills. 1. Team Leadership:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pattern checking quality assurance team.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to achieve quality and efficiency.
- Act as the main point of contact for the team and ensure their tasks are aligned with the company’s production goals.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all deadlines are met.
2. Pattern Quality Assurance:
- Review and monitor the quality of patterns to ensure they meet company specifications and production standards.
- Work collaboratively with designers, technical teams, and suppliers to resolve any pattern-related issues efficiently.
- Identify and rectify inconsistencies in patterns, including measurements, fit, and construction.
- Ensure compliance with the brand’s design aesthetic, fit standards, and technical requirements.
3. Workflow Coordination:
- Organize, monitor, and improve workflows and processes to optimize productivity within the team.
- Prioritize tasks to manage workloads and encourage efficient use of resources.
- Ensure smooth communication between the pattern checking team, production teams, and other departments.
4. Problem-Solving and Reporting:
- Analyze recurring quality issues and collaborate with teams to develop solutions and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports and records of pattern checks, quality tests, and results.
5. Coaching and Development:
- Provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance their skill sets and ensure individual growth.
- Identify training needs and facilitate the professional development of team members.
Job Requirements
1. Education and Experience:
- A diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Garment Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 15-above years of experience in pattern making, pattern checking, or quality assurance within the fashion industry.
- Experience in leading or supervising teams in a production or quality assurance environment is preferred.
2. Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, measurements, and fit standards.
- Proficiency in pattern-making software (e.g., ...)
- Familiarity with quality assurance standards and processes specific to fashion and garment production.
3. Key Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to oversee team workflow and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between team members and other departments effectively.
