Role Overview:

The successful candidate will:

• Develop and manage a centralized cutting tool and machine library with detailed specifications, including geometry, and application data.
• Ensure the library is structured for easy navigation and retrieval of information.
• Regularly review and update cutting tool and machine data to reflect changes in designs, capabilities, or manufacturing requirements.
• Lead and provide the key technical direction to large projects with critical business impact
• Prepare invention disclosures to protect technology that gives the business competitive advantage, as well as protecting the intellectual property rights of the company.
• Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to new and experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops.
• Maintain an active role in developing and defining the state of the art in own technical specialty to anticipate, apply, adapt, or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution in meeting current and future business needs including adherence to schedules and estimated costs

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled mechanical or manufacturing engineer with deep expertise in cutting tool technology, machining processes, and NX CAM programming, demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering from an accredited university
• Good level of written and oral communication skills in English.
• Experience in cutting tool technology, machine tool capabilities, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in machining process development and implementation with hands-on experience
• Experience in NX CAM Programming (preferably Siemens NX’s)
• Experience with modeling in Siemens NX (to support modeling, cutting tools, fixtures, etc..)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coding experience with at least one of Python, Tcl, C++ or other programming languages
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter
• Aware about Siemens NX Machine/Tool Library structure
