Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall management of inland operations across the country to ensure growth, profitability, and high customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and optimize transport routes (truck, rail) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, considering traffic, weather and operational risks.
- Lead and manage Türkiye Inland team, provide coaching, training, and performance oversight in line with company policies and transport regulations.
- Supervise end to end freight order management, from booking to final dispatch, ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
- Monitor shipment status proactively throughout its lifecycle, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of inland operations; analyse shipment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with customers regarding shipment status, delays, or disruptions.
- Manage escalations and complaints during transportation, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure swift resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, customers and internal teams.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inland operational efficiency, including process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
- Drive effective vendor performance management through regular reviews and feedback sessions.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and transport related regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to business development and process innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement in inland logistics.
We are looking for:
- University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in inland transportation, logistics operations or supply chain management, preferably in a multinational or matrix organization.
- Proven experience in managing teams and leading operational functions with a focus on performance, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of transport planning, freight order management, and vendor coordination across multiple transport modes (truck, rail).
- Experience in working with transport management systems (TMS), ERP platforms, and digital logistics tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret operational data and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
- Proactive, structured, and customer-focused mindset with a passion for operational excellence.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient at MS Office programs.
