Amazon's vision is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our VAT Compliance & Controllership team (VAT C&C) is seeking a Tax Analyst to join our dynamic team.
While this role sits within our tax department, you will primarily focus on reconciliation and submission of large datasets to ensure VAT compliance across our worldwide operations.
Specifically, this role focuses on managing data related to third-party (3P) sellers' VAT compliance on Amazon's platforms, rather than Amazon's direct tax matters, requiring skills to process, validate and share large volumes of seller transaction data.

Key job responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely data reporting to tax authorities and internal stakeholders
- Perform detailed reconciliations and quality checks to ensure accuracy of data submissions to tax authorities
- Respond to VAT compliance queries from Amazon businesses operating across Europe
- Identify and implement process improvements for data management and controls
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including excellent command English
- Organized, analytical and methodical with strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Able to take ownership of work, implement change, and demonstrate a problem-solving approach
- 2 years in corporate or finance organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to effectively manage time, and individually prioritize multiple tasks of competing priority
- Background in reconciling financial data
- Strong computer, particularly MS Excel skills
- A strong desire to drive results and exceed expectations
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards
- A proven team player with a hands-on team-oriented attitude
- Technical background and programming or demonstrated ability to quickly learn technical skills (SQL, VBA, Python etc.)
