A Day in the Life
The Regional Accounts Lead is a key member of the Strategic Accounts Management (SAM) team within the Strategic Accounts Accelerator (SAA). SAA is a commercial enabler tasked with driving durable profitable growth, maximizing Medtronic’s presence, and unlocking new opportunities in key accounts.This role focuses on driving consistent execution of go-to-market (GTM) strategies for accounts that operate across multiple countries (a.k.a., cross-border or regional accounts), ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence in cross-border engagements.
The Regional Accounts Lead will coordinate closely with the Private Sector Lead and Public Sector Lead to ensure a unified approach to cross-border account management. This role collaborates across functions and provides frontline support to strategic account managers (SAMs), ensuring that cross-border commercial initiatives, tools, and processes are effectively implemented and optimized for customer success. This is an Individual Contributor role that will be responsible for the EurAsia region in Medtronic.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Collaborate with SAA leadership to define and implement Go-To Market (GTM) enablement strategies for regional accounts, ensuring consistent execution across multiple markets while tailoring initiatives to meet the unique needs of multi-country accounts.
- Act as a liaison between strategic account management teams, functional stakeholders, and country-level teams to drive seamless execution of cross-border commercial initiatives.
- Ensure consistent execution of standardized sales processes and methodologies in managing cross-border accounts, in alignment with corporate commercial functions and the Innovation & Operational Excellence (IOe) unit.
- Support the Innovation & Operational Excellence (IOe) unit on the rollout of tools, resources, and enablement content for regional account management, including training materials for new product or service launches.
- Identify opportunities for expanding Medtronic’s footprint in cross-border accounts and work with internal teams to capitalize on them.
- Facilitate onboarding for new team members managing or involved in cross-border accounts, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with team objectives.
- Organize and facilitate regional team meetings, operational reviews, and enablement sessions to align objectives and monitor progress.
- Ensure adherence to commercial guidelines, tools, and processes to maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards in all operating countries.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales enablement, or a related field. Proven experience working with customer-facing teams.
- Expertise in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of private hospital systems and regional or cross-border account dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of go-to-market strategies and sales process standardization.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Quip), sales enablement and pricing/quoting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving operational challenges.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics, pipeline data, and trends to support decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and functions.
- Ability to train and onboard teams effectively, delivering impactful enablement programs.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
