Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from Electrical & Electronics Engineering or relevant departments,
- Knowledge and experience of systems engineering processes,
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in hardware/system development,
- Strong background in hardware design, integration, and testing,
- Basic knowledge of motor control and rotator systems,
- Familiarity with satellite ground stations is a plus,
- Basic understanding of RF systems is appreciated – willingness to learn and develop in this area is expected,
- Knowledge in Software Defined Radios and GNU Radio is a plus,
- Very good English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking,
- Initiative and proactivity to take ownership, follow up tasks persistently and ask the right questions to get the job done.
Responsibilities
- Define hardware and software requirements for Plan-S’ ground stations,
- Design and develop ground station architectures and perform system-level detailed designs,
- Plan, coordinate, and perform assembly, integration, test, and verification activities of ground stations,
- Design, prepare, and verify the test setups for ground stations,
- Perform the functional tests and checks of the ground stations, or theirsubsystems, or their components in the lab or in the field,
- Keep ground stations healthy and operational,
- Investigate ground station installation sites and conduct necessary analysis (link budget, noise figure measurements, etc.),
- Analyze and coordinate the purchase of COTS ground station equipment,
- Collaborate with systems engineers, RF engineers, and software engineers for the continuous development of the ground stations,
- Take initiative and ownership in the ongoing reconstruction of ground station infrastructure and ensure task follow-through.
