At KONE, we’re looking for a Field Trainer to join our team and ensure our field operatives are equipped with cutting-edge skills, confident safety practices, and deep product knowledge to build better urban experiences.
About the Role
As a Field Trainer at KONE, you’ll be the bridge between technical expertise and practical application. From classroom sessions to on-site coaching, you will train, mentor, and support field operatives across a wide range of installation and maintenance procedures. You'll help future-proof our workforce by localizing global methods, championing safety, and exploring new learning technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver proactive, hands-on training in our Training Center or at customer sites
Coach both technical and non-technical personnel in understanding key methodologies
Localize and adapt global training content and documents to meet local needs
Participate in competence assessments, induction programs, and audits
Communicate changes in codes, tools, products, and processes
Actively support safety initiatives, incident reviews, and field inspections
Contribute to training strategy, course planning, and documentation via KONElearning.com
Stay up to date with new products, digital tools, and training approaches through Train-the-Trainer courses
Foster a service-oriented mindset and actively participate in industry knowledge-sharing networks
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in the elevator and escalator industry (engineering, installation, and/or maintenance)
Fluency in English is a must
A proactive mindset toward learning, with the drive to continuously grow and support others
Familiarity with adult education principles, along with mentoring and coaching capabilities
Proven skills in delivering training, both in-person and virtually
Solid understanding of building/cloud connectivity and basic IT proficiency
Excellent communication skills in both the local language and English
A collaborative nature and the ability to work across diverse teams
Flexibility, a strong safety-first attitude, and a passion for enabling others to succeed
