As a Cash Operations - Payments Associate within the Operations Team, you will review and process payments across various products, ensuring accurate and timely fund transfers while resolving production or quality issues. Your advanced knowledge of global payment processing operations and systems architecture will be key in driving efficiency and change management, while your proactive approach to problem-solving will help navigate dynamic environments and shifting workloads.
Job responsibilities
- Review and process payments across various products, ensuring accurate and timely fund transfers, while resolving production or quality issues and escalating delays to management and stakeholders.
- Manage and deliver moderately complex payment lifecycle
- Contribute to operational excellence, providing expertise in payment processes re-engineering, risk management, cybersecurity, and anti-fraud opportunities.
- Support and create solution for non-routine payment lifecycle issues, including cash, trade, merchant, or transactions, and fraud detection.
- Build a relationship with all stakeholders to provide qualified service to the clients and to the businesses.
- Understand and support operational control and regulatory reporting requirements
- Monitor payment lifecycle and take necessary actions in line with Operational Control Standards
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated ability in operations within payments,
- Advanced knowledge of global payment processing operations, products, and systems architecture to effectively support efficiency and change management.
- Demonstrated self-reliance and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate dynamic environments and shifting workloads across complex products.
- Proficient in analysis issues and communicating insights to inform decision-making with senior stakeholders.
- Understands the controls and the strategies to protect information and systems, with familiarity in continuous improvement methodologies and design thinking techniques.
- Proficient in using automation technologies to optimize payments processing, with a proven track record in enhancing customer experience throughout the customer journey.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of ISO or Swift message processing or management.
- Knowledge of cash management products, Turkish clearing system, Securities clearing/processing and settlements
- Self-starter, capable of working independently, making decisions using a risk and control mindset
- Proven track record of multi-tasking in a time sensitive environment
- Quick learner and strong interpersonal and team working skills
- Open attitude towards sharing ideas and knowledge with appropriate partners/stakeholders
- A proactive approach to problem solving and taking ownership of issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administrative, International Relations, Banking
- At least 5 years experience in Banking Sector, preferably Payment Operations
- Fluent in writing, speaking, and listening in Turkish and English
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio
