Total Rewards Specialist - EMEA
Job Purpose
As part of the EMEA Contribute (Total Rewards) Team, the Total Rewards Specialist EMEA will be the expert managing the Total Rewards processes and policies for part of the EMEA region and will collaborate with the HR community on a global and regional level as well as in the countries. This role is a key contributor in ensuring that all EMEA employees receive a total rewards proposition commensurate with the value that they bring to the Straumann organization.
Straumann Group’s EMEA region operates in 27 countries, covering Sales & Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing across all franchises of the Straumann Group business. The purpose of this role is bringing resources and processes together within region to enable growth, within the frame of the global Total Rewards strategy by delivering solutions across the EMEA region and thereby contribute toward our goal of connecting people with opportunities.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Drive effective implementation and communication of total reward programs and processes such as annual compensation review, short- and long-term incentive plans, budget - ensuring Regional People & Culture community are sufficiently informed and equipped to support the business
- Drive position evaluation and compensation benchmarking activities relating to recruitment, promotion, re-org, and ranging from survey participation to delivering fair and competitive benchmark data
- Drive implementation and monitoring of Pay Equity and Pay Transparency philosophy
- Act as a total reward subject matter expert for the region by monitoring external trends and best practices
- Support ad-hoc initiatives & projects as well as international mobility activities
- Participate in global compensation and benefits projects, as needed
Requirements needed:
Education
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration)
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Total Rewards either as a consultant or in a multi-national organization with a regional scope (EMEA or sub-region within EMEA)
- Experience in job grading (ideally Mercer IPE) & compensation benchmarking essential
- Strong knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements as well as regional forces and developments
- Strong analytical skills paired with the ability to build a story based on data and internal/external contexts
- High affinity for financial figures and advanced user of HRIS and analytics tools
- Previous experience within the medical devices/pharmaceutical industry is a plus

- Fluent (written and spoken) English; Any other language, spoken in EMEA region, is a plus
- MS Office proficient with very good command of Excel and PowerPoint.
