Right now, we’re looking for a new colleague to join our Operations Team in the position of Operations Team Leader.
As the Operations Team Leader you will play a key role in driving export operational excellence and lead daily operations ensuring efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible to lead and develop a team fostering a collaborative and results driven culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily export operations
- Responsible to drive of the team including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching and guiding
- Manage team via KPI´s and have the helicopter view on what is happening.
- Make sure procedures are in place against APLL standards, are followed and deliver best in class service.
- Manage workload and ensure backups are in place.
- Ensure billing and cost done as per finance period closure schedule
- Drive Productivity and standardization and reduce OPS costs where possible.
- Raise awareness to the management team about operational issues, improvements and drive solutions.
- Able to solve daily problems (Origin-destination) without supervision.
- Continuous improvement
- Ensure good communication with stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Master of Business Administration, preferred in logistics.
- Minimum 7 years’ logistics experience, preferably international retail logistics.
- Fluent in English additional language is a plus
- Passion for service excellence.
- Customer focused.
- Agile strategic and global perspective.
- Analytical problem solving, attention to detail and result oriented.
- Strong envisioning, motivational and delegation abilities.
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong time management, organization, and planning skills.
- Intermediate or higher-level Excel skills and competent PowerPoint skills.
- Transport knowledge all shipment modes (e.g., Ocean, Truck, Rail, Air)
- Export process knowledge
