Creating new games is a part of Rovio DNA and we are now looking for a Game Lead to add to one of our growing teams working on a new action title. As a Game Lead you will be leading the vision and strategy of a game while ensuring the team stays healthy and performs to the highest standard. You are a business savvy leader and product expert obsessed with building products that scale and last for decades with a track record of launching and growing successful mobile titles from zero to established live operations.
The majority of the team is today located in our studio in Izmir and we are also looking to expand the team to Barcelona, Spain. If you are in Türkiye but not in Izmir yet, we are able to support you with the move. If in Spain, we are able to provide work permit sponsorship if needed, but are not open to relocate to Spain at the moment.
You will have impact and fun at work by:
- Striving to create and operate an exceptionally successful business.
- Leading a talented game team, fostering a strong and positive team culture and acting as a direct manager for other Product Managers on the game.
- Developing and steering the game vision and strategic plans across long, mid, and short-term horizons, ensuring alignment with long-term business growth, product goals, and player experience.
- Driving product vision and maximising business potential by adapting to market trends and acting as the main Product expert in the team with hands-on product management responsibilities.
- Owning and executing the strategy by guiding the team in designing an optimal feature roadmap.
- Providing clear updates on objectives and sharing key learnings with studio and company leadership, contributing to Rovio’s overall success.
- Aiming to release a successful title, setting a benchmark for quality and innovation.
Experience and skills we are looking for:
- Demonstrated strong, inspiring leadership and team-building skills while maintaining humility.
- Extensive experience launching and scaling multiple mobile games (if those were in sports and action genre, it’s a big plus)
- Comprehensive understanding of the current mobile games business, including production, design, Live Ops, UA, and related areas.
- Deep insight into player behavior, spender dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to dive into data and drive data driven decisions for the game.
- Exceptional communication skills, fostering clear and effective collaboration.
- A genuine passion for games as both a business and an entertainment medium.
