Qualifications
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to take part in Şişecam Headquarters – Quality Function in Tuzla/ İstanbul.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or related Engineering departments
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field
- In-depth knowledge of plastic materials, tooling, mold design, and injection molding process parameters
- Preferably familiar with ISO 9001 certification (Familiar with automotive or industrial quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3))and knowledgeable in APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC/MSA
- Good knowledge of problem-solving techniques (8D)
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends for process improvement
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Analytical thinker; enthusiastic, self-motivated, and energetic
- Team-oriented and results-focused
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to coach, lead, and manage change
- No travel restrictions
Role Description
- Track and report supplier quality performance
- Support and collaborate with Procurement and Supplier Development teams to ensure adequate supplier quality by assisting in supplier selection, qualification, auditing, and development
- Support on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis
- Keep the supplier database updated with quality data and identify improvement opportunities
- Monitor reports and KPIs measuring supplier quality management performance
- Act as a problem solver for issues escalated by team leaders
- Conduct supplier audits, process validations, and capability assessments
- Lead and support supplier development activities to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Support product and process changes through APQP and change management procedures
