Schedule - Monday - Friday with possible Saturday's
Hours - 3:30 am - until finished
Pay - 23.45/Hr.
Position Summary:
Work as a team member of the transportation crew in the moving of poults from the brooder hubs to the finishers and their other daily activities including washing trailers and loaders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Participate in brooder hub poult moving per schedules.
- Load poults on trailers using poult loader.
- Unload poults from trailer in finisher barns.
- Perform preventative maintenance of poult loaders and trailers.
- Follow best practices in the transporting of turkeys.
- Always follow the Farms biosecurity program.
- Participate in the timely moving of poults from the brooder hubs to the finisher sites.
- Move birds.
- Wash trailers per schedules.
- Adhere and enforce all Tyson safety policies.
- Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and/or supervisor.
Requirements (minimum requirements in order to be considered for the job)
- Must be able to understand and convey written and oral communication.
- Must not own, possess or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must have effective use of all four limbs or equivalent.
- Corrected near 20/20 vision.
- Able to pass a drug screening.
- Must be able to communicate with coworkers, supervisor, and management
- Must have 3 months' work history with the same employer.
- Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 90-day waiting period before you can reapply.
- Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
- Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
