Key Responsibilities· Manage and fine-tune PostgreSQL High Availability (HA) Clusters and/or MSSQL AlwaysOn setups across production, sandbox, and staging environments.· Contribute to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by supporting continuous integration and deployment workflows with database expertise.· Automate routine and operational activities using shell scripting and monitoring tools.· Maintain database systems availability and performance through regular maintenance, automated backup strategies, and proactive monitoring.· Possess working knowledge of technologies related to data replication, streaming, and Change Data Capture (CDC).· Demonstrate expertise in database design, security best practices.· Apply deep understanding of HA database architecture and internal mechanisms. Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.· Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting PostgreSQL and/or MSSQL in live and 7/24 environments.· Experience working with distributed systems and high availability architectures.· Strong background in SQL performance tuning and internal optimization.· Proven scripting and automation skills.· Proficient in both written and spoken English.· Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.· Strong skills in documenting systems and processes effectively.· Enthusiastic about learning emerging technologies and tools.· Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
