The Opportunity
ROLE PURPOSE:
In the evolving humanitarian landscape of Türkiye, this position plays a key role in delivering effective and timely child protection case management services to Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) returning from Syria. Reporting to the CPMHPSS Program Manager and working closely with the Child Protection Specialist, the Case Worker will be responsible for identifying, assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and closing child protection cases in line with SOPs and best practices.
The role includes liaising with local authorities and service providers, supporting border and settlement based interventions, providing critical information and referrals, and responding to emergency child protection needs, such as UASC and family separation. It contributes directly to Save the Children’s wider humanitarian efforts through coordinated service delivery, protection risk monitoring, and emergency response actions.
In order to be successful you will bring/have :
- Minimum one year experience in child protection case management, particularly with vulnerable, displaced, or refugee children and families in humanitarian or transitional contexts.
- Strong interpersonal and ethical sensitivity; demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and the ability to work with children and caregivers in distress.
- Solid experience in outreach, community mobilization, and engaging local actors to identify and respond to child protection concerns.
- Good understanding of Türkiye’s child protection systems, legal and social service frameworks, and referral pathways—particularly in border or temporary protection contexts.
- Ability to deliver and document casework and outreach activities effectively, including strong reporting skills (weekly/monthly), with high attention to detail and data protection principles.
- Comfortable using MS Office and internet-based tools for documentation, communication, and reporting.
- Flexibility to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and respond to emergency situations when needed.
- Fluency in Turkish and Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
- Commitment to Save the Children’s values and child safeguarding principles, including “Do No Harm.”
- Previous experience with Save the Children is highly desirable and considered advantageous.
Position holder will be based in Hatay , therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application. Applications will be evaluated in a rolling basis.
