Role Description
We are seeking a Category Management Manager (Non-Glass) to join the Retail Category Group Management Team at Şişecam Headquarters in Tuzla, Istanbul. The ideal candidate:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum 5+ years of sales/category experience, preferably in homeware goods, with a successful track record in team management and leadership
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to understand, adapt to, and implement new sales technologies
- High learning agility with the capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Results-driven with a strong motivation to achieve targets
- Proficiency in MS Office; preferably familiar with ERP, CRM, or similar tools
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
- No restrictions on domestic and international travel
- Trade fair experience is essential; experience in housewares is a plus.
Job Description
- Sets the Retail Product vision, strategy, targets, and budget in line with Corporate and Commercial strategy, aligning with the Head of Retail.
- Acts as an expert in the product category, utilizing market insights (competitor, trends, portfolio) to refine growth and innovation strategies. Trade fair experience is essential; experience in houseware is a plus.
- Directs pricing strategy, ensuring accuracy and alignment with product category positioning to boost profitability.
- Guides the team in identifying customer segments and developing tailored product value propositions for each.
- Actively tracks market trends to explore new product opportunities.
- Works with suppliers to develop trend-aligned products, maintaining close communication for market relevance.
- Oversees the product portfolio, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Identifies product synergies across stores and alternative channels, contributing to commercial campaigns and incentive mechanisms in line with sub-product group strategies.
