Position Overview: Open English is searching for bilingual Turkish/English speakers with 3+ year(s) of ESL teaching experience to provide academic services for beginner to advanced students from the comfort of their own home. Academic Specialists enjoy part-time, hourly schedules, and work is done virtually.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high quality, English language instruction in private, group or cohort specialty live class sessions through our learning platforms (audio/video-based). Employ the OE curriculum, online pedagogy and teaching methodology to provide individual feedback to students after each class.
Requirements:
- Positive, polished visual online presence
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of prior experience teaching English as a second language.
- Comfortable teaching large group classes
- Holds a TESOL, TEFL, CELTA or equivalent or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Bilingual (Turkish/English)
- Must provide ten (10) hours minimum of availability each week.
- Must have a reliable, high-speed (at least 2 Mbps) internet connection.
- Must have a webcam and headset with a microphone.
- Must pass a background check.
