About the Role
We are looking for a Jr Backend Developer to join our team as part of Cherry’s New Grad Program. You’ll contribute to real product development from day one, supported by a dedicated mentor and peer buddy. If you’re passionate about building backend systems, APIs, and scalable infrastructure—we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services
Work with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to ship end-to-end features
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using modern frameworks
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Contribute to debugging, optimizing, and improving existing systems
Learn and grow under the guidance of experienced engineers
Requirements
Graduated at latest 2025 from Computer Engineering or a related departments
Strong academic background
Hands-on experience in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Java, or Go)
Basic understanding of APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side logic
Internship or part-time experience in backend development
Strong communication skills in Turkish and English
Bonus: GitHub projects, hackathon participation, or open-source contributions
