In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Establishes and maintains the general accounting reporting and practices for the affiliated entities.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and/or review necessary journal entries for properly stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (e.g., GAAP) and company policy.
- Performs bookkeeping and account management duties.
- Manages balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Conducts month-end and year-end closing process.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Supports internal and external auditors.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly and yearly tax declarations on time.
- Establishes and maintains the general accounting reporting and practices for the organization. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and/or review necessary journal entries for properly stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (e.g., GAAP) and company policy. Performs bookkeeping or account management duties.
The essential requirements of the job include
- Minimum of 3–4 years of experience as a General Accountant, with a strong focus on statutory legislation.
- Knowledge of Turkish GAAP principles and Turkish chart of accounts
- Proactive, highly motivated and flexible
- Highly organized and attention to detail
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Audit background and USGAAP knowledge is a plus
- Prefarably English as a second language
