Indirect Procurement (IP) is a Finance function dealing with the purchases of goods and services not directly involved in product manufacturing like raw materials. Its scope covers Marketing & Communication, Boutique Construction, Logistics & Transportation, Human Resources, General Services, Professional Services, Travel & Events, Marketing & POS, IT & Telecom, Property & Facilities.

- Maximize value for money while maintaining quality and brand image;
- Manage supplier risk in all key areas (sustainability, finance, legal, compliance).
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a trusted advisor and strategic support to senior management, you will play a crucial role in driving the procurement success of our organization. This role will require excellence in building cross-functional relationships with stakeholders from all local departments and regional ones as well.
Reporting to the CFO, you will actively engage with key stakeholders across various departments to provide insightful finance analysis, support decision-making, and drive tendering processes.
The mission of the Indirect Procurement manager is to lead & frame the procurement processes and to provide Smart Insights enabling management & business teams to effectively solve business problems. The Smart Insights are:

IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL
- Structure procurement process and supplier panel
- Lead the common procurement process;
- Infuse procurement education and good practices;
- Structure supplier panel based on objective criteria such as supplier capacity, performance, costs…;
- Support new suppliers sourcing.
- Protect CHANEL group ensuring the compliance of our supplier panel
- Monitor risk management (legal, finance, compliance) and sustainable procurement;
- Support contract management.
- Support business users in their sourcing and tendering process:
- Sourcing projects and RFI ensuring collaboration with internal business partners;
- Design procurement tools (quotation grids, evaluation grid, business review templates…);
- Prepare and lead/support tenders;
- Conduct financial and spend analysis;
- Lead professional negotiations;
- Award suppliers, implement legal agreements & report benefits.
- Improve overall procurement & sustainability performance:
- Build database to history units cost drivers;
- Contribute to guidelines for budget construction based on historized benchmark ;
- Identify spend optimization (TCO approach, economies of scale) & supplier panel diversification opportunities;
- Report your financial benefits to demonstrate function return on investment;
- Pursue the implementation of the Preferred Supplier List with business partners and suppliers;
- Monitor Risk Management (Legal, Finance, Compliance) and Sustainable; Procurement through different tools and initiatives;
- Contract Management and negotiations (SLAs, end-of-year rebates);
- Monitor supplier performance;
- Bring innovation and ESG guidelines.
- Improve S2P Processes
- Lead together with business partners and suppliers’ relevant catalogues and forms to make ordering easier to achieve our “No PO, no Pay” ambition;
- Lead the localization of global projects as project manager;
- Ensure the application of financial guidelines regarding payment terms and support payment on time of our suppliers.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Broad academic background and at least 10 years’ experience in Indirect Procurement;
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and a passion for driving environmentally responsible initiatives;
- Strong commercial & contractual negotiation skills and expertise in buying and supplier sourcing processes are recognized for your autonomous and analytical skills;
- You have a proven ability to establish effective working relationships with senior business partners as well as with external parties;
- Interpersonal and conflict management skills will be appreciated as much as your ability to challenge the status quo and bring new ideas to life;
- Ability to synthesize key information on complex topics and to communicate with ease to all levels of the organization, across multiple locations and functions;
- This role will be expected to write and speak in English. French is a plus.
