Responsibilities
- Managing payroll, accrual, timekeeping, and salary payment processes on time, in compliance with Labor Law and Social Security regulations
- Executing all legal procedures related to payroll and personnel affairs, ensuring compliance with the most up-to-date legislation
- Preparing documents such as service certificates, visa-related paperwork, etc.
- Calculating timekeeping data, overtime, leaves, absences, and other payroll parameters
- Ensuring leave processes in accordance with company procedures
- Controlling and transferring timekeeping data, preparing relevant monthly reports
- Making all required legal notifications to official institutions like SGK and İŞKUR within legal deadlines (e.g., employment/termination notifications, workplace accident reports, medical leave approvals)
- Handling all legal correspondences with official institutions accurately and supporting audit processes
- Participating in incentive checks, withholding tax and social security procedures
- Tracking employee data and ensuring it is accurately maintained and managed in the system
- Preparing monthly HR reports (tracking annual leave, monthly workforce schedules, medical leave reports)
- Completing all legal procedures about commencement and termination of employment, in accordance with related legislations
- Review, validate, and input payroll data such as salaries, benefits, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and terminations,
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to gather payroll inputs and resolve discrepancies,
- Ensure payroll compliance with relevant tax legislation, social security, and labor law requirements,
- Manage statutory filings (e.g., tax returns, social contributions) and liaise with external authorities as needed,
- Prepare payroll reports for management, auditors, and regulatory authorities,
- Support internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documentation,
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and statutory deductions with professionalism and confidentiality,
- Continuously identify process improvement opportunities to optimize payroll operations,
- Assist in payroll system implementations, updates, and enhancements as needed,
- Handling employee personnel files and ensuring that documents are up to date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related field,
- 3+ years of proven payroll experience and personnel affairs, preferably in a multinational or professional services environment,
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and social security contributions,
- Experience with Logo is a must,
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with reporting and data analysis,
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines,
- Result oriented with problem solving and analytical approach,
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset,
- Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive data,
- Knowldge of R&D payroll is a plus.
