Logistics Key Supplier Specialist
About the role:
We are currently introducing a new role of Logistics Key Supplier Specialist in Turkey who will lead the operational relationship with Logistics supplier(s) on distribution, warehousing and quality areas.
The main objective of the role is to give direct, local support to Sales/Customer Service Demand Planning in the field of Logistics. As Logistics Key Supplier Specialist you will collect the important information from the market and Sales operation areas that are necessary for proper decision making.
You will keep under daily control, drive the service level by the Logistics Service Provider(s), their performance and the planning of related activities.
You will report to Distribution Manager- Logistics CA East
In detail you will:
- Manage and develop Logistics Supplier(s) ensuring operational excellence according to the required service and cost level. Daily contact to Logistics Distribution- Warehousing and CSDP Managers.
- Check, analyse the service level reports, KPIs (Contract Appendix 5) and initiate corrective actions to have better quality services for Electrolux customers.
- Lead the weekly/monthly follow up calls with CSDP and Logistics Service Provider(s).
- Personally visit Logistics Suppliers in agreed frequency.
- Search for opportunities, initiate cost reduction and efficiency improvement actions.
- Supervise the distribution activities in compliance with the established processes and CTS (Cost To Serve) targets agreed with Sales.
- Monitor and support the DD flow (from factory to customer) performed by Primary carriers. Participate on related SQUAD weekly calls.
- Ensure customer needs (from Sales) are turned into service level agreement for the Supplier(s).
- Monitor the IT systems and interfaces. React on problems, initiate adjustments.
- Ensure full knowledge of local market and legal rules while having a “key-user” level of understanding of our systems (OTM, SAP, others).
- Coordinate trainings for 3PLs (safety, quality, handling, repacking and others).
- Support periodical operational audits in the RDC, bonded WHs and Platforms
Minimum qualifications:
- Fluent English and Turkish
- Experience (3 years +) in logistics area of warehousing and transportation.
- Previous experience in managing 3PLs
- General IT knowledge and experience in MS Office, in particular excel
- Driving license and availability to travel to Borusan on a regular basis
