Job Purpose:
We are looking for a highly experienced Event Director to lead our global events strategy and oversee the execution of high-profile international events. This is a senior leadership role for a professional with a strong background in global event management, proven team leadership, and the ability to deliver exceptional experiences aligned with the organisation’s brand and mission
Main Responsibilities:

- Own and lead the entire lifecycle of our international events, from concept development to post-event reporting, across key markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.
- Lead and manage a team of Event Managers and coordinate cross-functional support
- Design and implement event strategies that reflect the organisation’s objectives and global positioning, ensuring each event meets its goals.
- Oversee the engagement and management of sponsors, stakeholders, and partner organisations, ensuring alignment of interests and delivery of obligations.
- Supervise the identification, negotiation, and contracting of venues and external suppliers, ensuring optimal value, reliability, and service delivery.
- Provide executive-level oversight on speaker management, VIP agendas, and delegate experience.
- Maintain full budget ownership across all events and ensure cost control without compromising quality or impact.
- Oversee all branding, messaging, and marketing efforts related to global events, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s identity and standards.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across all areas of event planning and execution, including logistics, delegate satisfaction, sponsor ROI, and team performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for C-level executives and key stakeholders throughout the event planning process.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring continuous growth, accountability, and high performance.
Profile & Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in international event management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, high-level conferences and private events across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prior experience working with HNWIs, government institutions, diplomatic entities, or international organisations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building and motivating diverse, high-performing teams.
- Excellent project management, budget oversight, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise confidently at senior levels.
- Full professional fluency in English; other languages are an asset.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently. Candidates must have visa-free access to Europe, North America, and Asia.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
- Impeccable attention to detail, discretion, and personal presentation.
