Position Summary
- Lead the monthly and annual financial closing processes in compliance with Aptiv’s Global Procedures, while continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Perform detailed variance analyses by comparing weekly, monthly, and annual budget vs. actual figures (including rolling forecasts), and support the Controlling Manager with data-driven insights.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and actively contribute to SOX compliance and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting Managers to develop and implement cost-efficiency strategies aimed at enhancing company profitability.
- Conduct in-depth balance sheet analyses and prepare comprehensive monthly reports.
- Act as a financial business partner to cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality – COPQ, Production – Labor Costs, Logistics – E&O, Scrap).
- Support the smooth execution of external audits and full certification processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax declarations and statutory filings.
- Validate the accuracy of accounting records maintained by the external accounting partner (GBS), and coordinate issue resolution when discrepancies arise.
- Participate in ISO 14001 & 45001 integrated management system processes.
- Promote a culture where environmental sustainability, occupational health, and safety are recognized as core values and top priorities across the organization.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Econometrics, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of the automotive industry and its operational dynamics
- Proficiency in information technologies and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage stress effectively
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
- Proven experience in financial reporting (IFRS, US GAAP)
- Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Experience in team coordination and ensuring seamless data flow between Accounting and Controlling functions
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
