Job Details:

Work as a team member of a brooder farm complex. This position is responsible to take care of the daily requirements of rearing turkeys from day of age to the time they are moved to the finishing site.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Set up barns to get ready for delivery of poults and help with unloading poults.
• Perform daily chores by following Tyson Brooding Program for raising turkeys.
• Clean out barns after poults are moved.
• Perform preventative maintenance of rolling stock and equipment in barns.
• Always follow the Farms biosecurity program including showering on to farm.

• Adhere and enforce all Tyson safety policies.
• Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and/or supervisor.Must be able to understand and convey written and oral communication.
• Must not own, possess or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl.
• Must provide own transportation to farm site.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must know how to or learn to drive a tractor and skid loader within the first 90 days.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must have effective use of all four limbs or equivalent.
• Experience with computers, electrical, plumbing and carpentry preferred.
• Corrected near 20/20 vision.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisor, and all other levels of management.
